Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) is the flag carrier airline of Japan and the second largest in the country. In 2002 after merged with Japan Air System, Japan's third-largest airline, became the sixth largest airline in the world by passengers carried.
I've had a pleasure to work on desktop and mobile mockup integration of Japan Airlines. Apart from creating mockups, setting details with the client, I was also responsible for designing/creating new UI elements and pages. Another big challenge of this project was to be compliant with WCAG. For those who don't know - by November 2015, all core functions of an airline’s website like reservations, ticketing, check in, managing your booking and frequent flyer accounts need to conform to WCAG 2.0, levels A and AA. Issued by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), the rules require US and foreign carriers to make websites offering air transportation to the American public and automated kiosks at US airports accessible to individuals with disabilities.
